Adrienne Decker

Adrienne Decker PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Education at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University at Buffalo. She also holds an adjunct position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on improving computer science education at undergraduate and graduate levels, emphasizing equitable grading practices, introductory programming pedagogy, and neurodivergent learners' experiences in computing. She has been recognized with multiple awards including the 2024 ACM Best Paper Award and the 2007 Milton Plesur Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Decker earned all three of her degrees from the University at Buffalo: a BS (2001), MS (2001), and PhD (2007) in Computer Science and Engineering.
