Dr. Adrian Hull serves as the Head of School for Creative Technologies within the School of Film, Media and Creative Technologies at the University of Portsmouth. He is an active PhD Supervisor, composer, and researcher with a focus on the intersection between technology and musical composition. His academic journey includes an undergraduate degree from King's College London and Royal Academy of Music, a Masters in Composition and Analysis at King's College London, and a PhD in musical composition from Cardiff University.

Hull's research primarily explores how digital humanities can enhance creative practice research, particularly in contemporary classical music. His work spans multiple areas including musical composition, music theory, musicology, and music commissioning. He is also the director of Arcomis Ltd, a company promoting new music through commissioning, online score distribution, and international festivals since 2007.
His 12 research outputs (2014-2023) demonstrate consistent exploration of digital musicology, orchestral composition, and technology-integrated creative practice. Notable themes include algorithmic composition, digital orchestration, and interdisciplinary applications of music technology.
