Adrian Călborean

Adrian Călborean is a Senior Scientific Researcher at the National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies (INCDTIM) in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He holds a PhD in Molecular Electronics from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble (2009), with postdoctoral work at École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (2010) and Babeș-Bolyai University (2013). His academic career spans over 16 years at INCDTIM.

His research focuses on quantum modeling of molecular systems, energy storage technologies, nanoscale fabrication processes, and electrochemical analysis. He specializes in density functional theory (DFT) simulations, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and design of novel materials for thermoelectric and battery applications. His expertise also includes biosensor development and antimicrobial peptide engineering.
