Adrian Bown

Adrian Bown is a Senior Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Group at Leeds Beckett University's School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing. He previously worked as a Graduate Structural Engineer in a Leeds-based consulting firm. He holds Chartered Engineer status from the Institution of Civil Engineers and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Teaching: Engages in teaching mathematics, hydraulics, and structures across all Civil Engineering courses at the university.

Research Interests: Focused on clay brickwork masonry (past research) and adult learning styles in higher education (recent focus). His qualifications and projects have centered on advancing understanding of masonry technology and pedagogical strategies for adult learners.
