Adrian B. Dancea

Dr. Adrian B. Dancea is a prominent pediatric cardiologist currently serving as Division Head of Pediatric Cardiology and Head of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. His clinical expertise focuses on pediatric cardiac care with special emphasis on cardiac catheterization procedures and management of complex congenital heart conditions.

Dr. Dancea received his BSc in Biochemistry and Medicine from the University of Ottawa, followed by his Medical Degree from the same institution. He completed his Residency in General Pediatrics at Montreal Children's Hospital, McGill University, and further specialized through a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Montreal Children's Hospital, McGill University.

His research interests span several critical areas in pediatric cardiology including Cardiac Catheterization techniques, Pulmonary Hypertension in pediatric patients, and Health Outcomes and Safety in cardiac care. Dr. Dancea is particularly interested in improving procedural safety and clinical outcomes for children with heart conditions.

Dr. Dancea's publication record demonstrates expertise in pediatric cardiac interventions, heart failure management in children, and pulmonary hypertension. His work includes developing improved handover protocols after pediatric heart surgery, advancing catheter interventions for congenital heart disease, establishing guidelines for pediatric heart failure management, and exploring treatments for coarctation of the aorta in infants.
