Adonios Karpetis

Dr. Adonios Karpetis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University, serving as Undergraduate Program Coordinator and Engineering Honors Coordinator. His research focuses on high-speed combustion, laser diagnostics for reacting flows, turbulent flames, and space weather. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. from Aristotle University (Greece), M.Sc. from Princeton University, and Ph.D. from Yale University, followed by postdoctoral research at Yale and Sandia National Labs.

Research interests emphasize advanced combustion diagnostics and propulsion systems, with notable work on rotational/vibrational Raman spectroscopy and supersonic flame studies.
