Dr. Adolf Acquaye is an Associate Professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Khalifa University, UAE. He previously served as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Reader at Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK, and as Program Director at Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai. His work focuses on sustainability and sustainable development, including contributions to the UNEP Global Environmental Outlook (GEO-7) and IPCC assessments.

Dr. Acquaye serves on the Editorial Board of Energies and has guest-edited special issues on sustainable development. He has also collaborated with organizations like the Stockholm Environment Institute and the Centre for Low Carbon Futures.
