Adnan Uzun is a Professor in the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design department at Işık Üniversitesi. He holds a PhD in Landscape Architecture from İstanbul Üniversitesi (1991) and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi (1984). His academic work spans Landscape Architecture, Ecological Planning, and Urban Sustainability. He serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture and chairs multiple university committees, including the Ethics Committee and Green Campus initiatives.

His publications highlight trends in sustainable land use, ecosystem services, and urban forest management, often integrating GIS and remote sensing technologies. Key projects include the TÜBİTAK 2237-A initiative on historical landscape design and the Yunus Emre Arboretum conservation effort in Dalyan.
Scientific recognitions include the Malatya Yeni Cami Environmental Planning Project and the Çukurbostan Landscape Project. He has advised over 15 graduate theses on topics like monumental tree conservation, rainwater management, and bio-mimetic design, reflecting his commitment to applied ecological research.
Prof. Uzun leads the Climate Change-Ecosystem Services Software Development project and collaborates with international networks like EC/LAS Notre Network. His work bridges landscape architecture and ecological policy, with applications in Turkey and the U.S. (e.g., Clemson University Visiting Scholar).
