Aditya Vashistha

Aditya Vashistha is an Assistant Professor at Cornell University's Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, leading the Global AI Initiative. His research focuses on designing equitable AI systems for marginalized communities, addressing misinformation, ableism, and cultural bias in technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.

Research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), ICTD, and accessibility, with projects like ASHABot for community health workers and culturally-nuanced AI tools. His work has received funding from Microsoft, Google, and USAID, and recognition including Best Paper Awards at CHI and FAccT.
