Adeyemi Adelekan is a Researcher at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, The University of Manchester, specializing in circular business models. He holds an MBA (Distinction) from Salford Business School and a BSc (Hons) in Communications Technology from National Open University of Nigeria, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His work focuses on scaling circular economy strategies across sectors like plastics and construction, emphasizing multi-stakeholder collaboration and institutional change.
- Current Role: Researcher Co-Investigator in BuildZero (£6M project for zero-waste construction).
- Key Projects: One Bin to Rule Them All (plastics sector innovation).
Research Interests: Circular Economy, Business Model Innovation, Social Enterprises, Waste Management, Global South Sustainability. He publishes in peer-reviewed journals and contributes to policy commentary, conferences, and workshops globally. Awards include the 2024 Social Responsibility Medal and 2015 Dean’s Award.
