Adel Rizkalla

Dr. Adel Rizkalla serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Howard University's College of Dentistry, bringing over 30 years of private practice experience to his academic role. His professional engagement spans dental governance, safety standards, and organizational leadership within prominent dental associations.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from Georgetown University School of Dentistry (1988) and a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Rizkalla's professional focus centers on Restorative Dentistry, with significant contributions to Dental Public Health, Dental Ethics, and Dental Safety and Asepsis. His work in dental policy is demonstrated through leadership roles including presidency of the Virginia Board of Dentistry and representation of the American Dental Association on ASHRAE standards committees.
