Adedeji Ebo is a Visiting Professor at the African Leadership Centre, part of King’s Global Institutes at King’s College London. He holds a dual role as Visiting Practitioner in the Practice of Leadership programme. Currently, he serves as Chief of the Conventional Arms Branch at the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (since 2020). Previously, he led the Security Sector Reform (SSR) Unit at the UN Department of Peace Operations (2008), and held roles at UNOWAS, UNOCI, and the UN Office in Mali. Before the UN, he was a Senior Fellow and Head of the Africa Programme at DCAF, and an Associate Professor and Department Head at the Nigerian Defence Academy.
Education includes a BA in International Relations from the University of Keele, an MSc in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in International Relations from Bayero University, Nigeria.
His research focuses on SSR, UN peacekeeping, and global governance. His co-edited book The United Nations and Security Sector Reform: Policy and Practice (2020) reflects his expertise. He has advised on governance and conflict resolution across West Africa and the Sahel.
