Dr. Adebola Adeyemi is an Assistant Professor at Durham Law School, Durham University. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Lagos State University, a Master of Laws (Corporate Governance) from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Law from Swansea University. His doctoral thesis focused on 'Promoting Sustainable Development Through Financed Projects: An Alternative Regulatory Tool.' Prior to Durham, he worked at the International College of Wales and Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a dual-qualified legal practitioner, licensed as a Barrister/Solicitor in Nigeria and a Solicitor in England and Wales. His legal practice experience includes leading Fintech, IT, and corporate governance projects at PAC Solicitors in Lagos.

His recent publications analyze Nigeria’s Electricity Act 2023, solar power in healthcare systems, and PSD2 impacts on European payments. Earlier works address corporate governance theory, money laundering prevention, and ISP liability under EU law.
Dr. Adeyemi advised on energy transactions, Fintech projects, and regulatory compliance in his legal career. His work bridges academic research with practical legal challenges in sustainability, corporate governance, and financial innovation.
