Adam Yngve is a Researcher at Linköping University (LiU), affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and serves as a Research Engineer in Prof. Markus Heilig's clinical research group since 2019. His work focuses on supporting advanced projects involving functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), facial electromyography (fEMG), and behavioral experiments to study neurobiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders, addiction, and emotion regulation. He is a core member of the Heilig Translational Psychiatry Lab and the Center for Social and Affective Neuroscience (CSAN).
Research interests include clinical neuroscience, pharmacological interventions, and the neurobiological underpinnings of stress, decision-making, and resilience. His contributions span studies on ghrelin’s effects on decision-making, endocannabinoid biomarkers in substance use disorders, and kynurenine pathway abnormalities in depression. Collaborations with multidisciplinary teams drive his work toward translational applications in mental health.
