Adam Wright

Adam Wright is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, having joined the faculty in 2023 as a Visiting Assistant Professor before his promotion. He previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Cincinnati and San Francisco, working in civil and criminal divisions including the National Security & Special Prosecutions Unit and Organized Crime & Drug Enforcement Unit.

His research focuses on public corruption, white-collar crime, and criminal procedure. His publications analyze systemic accountability failures and legal frameworks for corruption, with recent work examining environmental justice crises through a white-collar crime lens and redefining quid pro quo exchanges in legal theory.

He teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Pretrial Advocacy, Criminal Procedure Adjudication, and White Collar Crime. His professional experience includes presentations on prosecutorial independence and white-collar crime developments at national legal forums.
