Adam Smith

Adam Smith is an Associate Professor in the School of Design at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), part of the College of Art and Design. He holds a BFA and MFA from RIT. His roles include teaching courses in New Media Design (BFA) and Visual Communication Design (MFA), as well as serving as former Program Director for both programs. He is also the Creative Director for PHT180 (Personalized Healthcare Technology Research Center) and a contributor to MAGIC projects at RIT, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations with researchers and healthcare institutions like the University of Rochester.

Research & Teaching: Adam focuses on advancing 3D design, UI/UX, and healthcare technology through design thinking. His industry connections include roles as an Adobe Academic Leader and Figma Educational Board member. He emphasizes real-world expertise, guiding students in award-winning projects and preparing them for professional practices in emerging digital design trends.
