Adam Setala

Adam Setala is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Communication Design department at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD), where he has taught since 2013. He holds an undergraduate degree in Illustration from MIAD and an MFA in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.

His research focuses on advertising design, identity systems, packaging innovation, experimental typography, and conceptual design. With 15+ years of industry experience, he integrates professional expertise in art direction, creative strategy, and illustration into his academic work.
