معرفی
Professor Adam Perriman is a faculty member at the Research School of Chemistry within the Australian National University (ANU). His academic rank is Professor of Bioengineering, focusing on multidisciplinary research that bridges materials science, protein engineering, and biomedical applications. Key affiliations include the Division of Genome Sciences and Cancer and the Quinn Group - Brain Cancer Discovery as a collaborator.
His research interests span several critical areas in bioengineering and materials science:
- Biomaterials: Development of hydrogels, tissue adhesives, and chitosan-based systems for medical applications
- Protein Behavior: Investigating protein structure, activity, and denaturation mechanisms at interfaces
- Nanotechnology: Design of nanomaterials for oxidative stress modulation and theranostic applications
- Enzyme Engineering: Enhancing enzyme activity through surfactant coronas and engineered systems
- Biophysical Systems: Exploring solvent-free protein liquids and pressure-controlled assembly
Recent publications demonstrate interdisciplinary approaches combining hydrogels, nanomaterials, and protein engineering to address medical challenges in tissue repair, neuromorphic devices, and nanotoxicology. Research projects from 2003-2006 through 2023-2025 indicate sustained focus on protein-interface interactions and innovative biomaterials development.
