معرفی
Adam Jasne, MD, is an Associate Professor on Term in the Department of Neurology at Yale School of Medicine, where he specializes in vascular neurology and directs efforts in both clinical care and research on cerebrovascular disease. Board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology, he joined Yale in 2018 after completing residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
Education:
- BS, Cognitive Science and French – Carnegie Mellon University
- MD – Ohio State University College of Medicine
- Residency, Neurology – University of Maryland Medical Center (2016)
- Fellowship, Vascular Neurology – University of Cincinnati (2018)
Research Interests:
Dr. Jasne’s research program centers on stroke epidemiology, health-care quality and access, and novel neuroimaging findings. Specific areas of focus include:
- Population-level surveillance of stroke incidence and outcomes
- Disparities in stroke care related to race, socioeconomic status, and geography
- Characterization of rare imaging entities such as CHANTER (cerebellar hippocampal and basal nuclei transient edema with restricted diffusion) syndrome
- Opiate-associated amnestic syndromes and other unusual cerebrovascular presentations
Publication Impact:
Since 2019, Dr. Jasne has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed papers, including seminal works in Stroke, Neurology, and the New England Journal of Medicine. His work has defined contemporary understanding of excess cerebrovascular mortality during COVID-19, elucidated racial and socioeconomic disparities in stroke care, and advanced knowledge of endovascular therapy eligibility across the US population.
Clinical Trials and Grants:
- CAPTIVA – Comparison of Anti-coagulation and Anti-Platelet Therapies for Intracranial Vascular Atherostenosis (Sub-Investigator)
- REDUCE – Regulating Blood Pressure During Recovery from Intracerebral Hemorrhage and Ischemic Stroke (Sub-Investigator)
- ASPIRE – Anticoagulation for Stroke Prevention and Recovery After ICH (Sub-Investigator)
Collaborations & Affiliations:
He maintains active collaborations with Yale colleagues including Lauren Sansing, Joseph Schindler, Charles Wira, Guido Falcone, Charles Matouk, and Kevin Sheth, and participates in multi-institutional networks such as StrokeNet.
