Dr. Adam J. Woods is Dean and Aage and Margareta Møller Distinguished Professor at UT Dallas' School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. He leads NIH-funded trials using tDCS and cognitive training to combat cognitive aging, including the landmark ACT Phase III trial.
Research Interests: Develops non-invasive neuromodulation (tDCS/TMS) protocols paired with AI-driven neuroimaging to enhance working memory and delay dementia onset in aging populations.
Publications: Recent studies analyze ATP-metabolism links to cognition (2024), deep learning for MRI segmentation (2024), and moderators of cognitive training efficacy (2024), advancing precision neuromodulation.
Leadership: Directs the augmenting cognitive training (ACT) consortium and Diplomacy Lab initiatives for translational neuroscience.
