Adam J. Liska is an Associate Professor of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, serving as Program Coordinator for the Energy Science Minor. His research examines the environmental impacts of biofuels and agricultural systems through life cycle assessment.
Education: Holds a Ph.D. with certification in industrial ecology and sustainability.
Research Focus: Specializes in greenhouse gas emissions modeling, bioenergy sustainability, and climate change impacts of agricultural practices. Developed the Biofuel Energy Systems Simulator (BESS) model for life cycle analysis.
Publications address critical issues in biofuel production, land use change, and agricultural sustainability, with work featured in high-impact journals like Nature Climate Change.
