Dr. Adam Huber serves as Professor and Division Head of Pediatric Rheumatology within the Department of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine, with primary clinical practice at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His expertise spans the diagnosis and management of complex pediatric rheumatic conditions with specialized focus on juvenile dermatomyositis.
Dr. Huber's educational foundation includes a BA and MD from the University of British Columbia, Pediatrics residency at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, Rheumatology fellowship at Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), and Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. This unique combination of clinical training and epidemiological methodology drives his research approach.
His research portfolio centers on pediatric rheumatic diseases including juvenile arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and rare inflammatory disorders.
