Adam Holzman is a Professor of Guitar at the University of Texas at Austin and founder of its renowned Guitar Program (established 1989), offering Bachelors, Masters, and DMA degrees. He also founded the Brevard Summer Festival Institute Guitar Program (2017) and Austin Guitar Society. A celebrated performer, he has won top prizes in international competitions and performed globally at venues like Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and New York's Carnegie Hall. His Naxos recordings of Fernando Sor, Manuel Ponce, Antonio Lauro, and Johann Kaspar Mertz are critically acclaimed.
