Adam Driscoll

Dr. Adam Driscoll is an Associate Professor in Sociology & Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from North Carolina State University (2014) and researches environmental sociology, agricultural impacts, and online pedagogy.

Research focuses on:

• Social/environmental consequences of hog industry practices
• Global food system impacts
• Effective online teaching methodologies
• Environmental justice in rural communities

Publications demonstrate sustained examination of agricultural environmental impacts and educational assessment innovation. Recent work explores rural resistance to environmental threats and development of new student feedback instruments.

Honored with the 2024 Eagle Teaching Excellence Award. Teaches Introduction to Sociology, Environmental Sociology, and Environmental Justice. Office hours: Wednesday 4-5pm, Thursday 1-3pm.
