Adam Dias is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Carleton University within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He holds an M.A. and B.Sc. from the University of Toronto.

His research focuses on the ideological and ethical implications embedded in science fiction and fantasy genres, particularly how these genres navigate the boundaries of 'the human' through encounters with non-human others. He also investigates the history and form of graphic novels, such as their use in constructing narrative filters in works like Joe Sacco’s Palestine.
Dias presented at the English Graduate Studies Society Conference at Carleton University in 2021, where he discussed graphic textual forms. He has received recognition for his academic work, including the Northrup/Lawson Memorial Scholarship in 2013.
