Adam Broomberg is a Professor of Art at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, alongside roles as a Visiting Artist (MAR) and Practice Supervisor for the MA Photography and Society (MAPS) program at the KABK (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague). His work bridges artistic practice, activism, and education. He co-founded the collective Broomberg & Chanarin, known for their critical exploration of photography's technical and conceptual boundaries. Currently, he leads Artists & Allies in Berlin and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects like the forthcoming book Glitter in My Wounds with poet CA Conrad and activist Gersand Spelsberg.
His research interests include the intersection of art and social justice, the evolution of photographic media, and collaborative practices. He recently curated a talk series with the MA Artistic Research and MAPS programs, emphasizing dialogues between art, society, and technology.
Broomberg’s work is held in major institutions like MoMA, Tate Modern, and Centre Pompidou. He is actively engaged in curatorial and educational roles, reflecting his commitment to expanding artistic discourse.
