Adabel Jiménez-Corretjer is a Lecturer in Foreign Languages and the Spanish 130 Course Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Romance Languages. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics and Literature from Temple University (2009), an M.A. in Literature and Linguistics (Temple, 2002), and a second M.A. in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies (La Salle University, 1999). Her research focuses on gender roles in communicative strategies among Puerto Rican and Mexican communities in Philadelphia.
