Ada Francoy Barreiro

Dr. Ada Francoy Barreiro serves as an Assistant Lecturer with a PhD in English Philology at the University of the Balearic Islands, teaching across multiple education programs at the Minorca campus. Her current teaching load includes English Language and Teaching I & II, Methods of Teaching English, and Benchmark practicals for both Primary Education and the Double degree in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education programs for the 2025-26 academic year.

Her research focuses on theatre for young audiences and human rights education, bridging performing arts with educational methodologies. With an international teaching background spanning Spain, Myanmar, UAE, and London, she brings global perspectives to language education, particularly in early childhood contexts. Her work integrates drama techniques with language acquisition strategies for young learners.

Dr. Barreiro is an active member of the Art and Education - Music and Art Laboratory (GRAiE - Mus&Art Lab), a consolidated R+D+I Group focused on experimental approaches to integrating arts into educational settings. Her professional activities extend beyond the university as an educational consultant for Trinity College London and the International Baccalaureate program, where she serves as a Theatre Examiner.
