Ad Kleingeld is an Assistant Professor in the Human Performance Management (HPM) group at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He holds a PhD (1994) and MSc in Industrial Engineering from TU/e. His research focuses on work motivation, goal-setting interventions, and feedback strategies to enhance individual/team performance. He pioneered the ProMES method for performance measurement and has studied subconscious goals' impact on academic success in STEM.

Key contributions include a seminal 2011 meta-analysis on group goal-setting efficacy and a 2017 study on subconscious goal priming. He has led educational initiatives like TU/e's Study Choice Check, which uses psychometric tools to predict academic success. Teaching includes performance management systems design and work psychology courses for over 20 years.
