Achim Gmilkowsky

Prof. Dr. Achim Gmilkowsky holds a Professorship in Online Business Law at Hochschule für Fernstudien Hamburg (HFH) and serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business. He is also Head of the Business Law (LL.M.) program and part of HFH’s University Senate and Council. With a background in law, he specialized in international law and commercial law, completing his doctorate in 1995. His career includes roles in corporate legal departments, legal practice, and academic teaching since 2010. He earned an LL.M. part-time and is an accreditation reviewer. His research focuses on business law, media law, copyright, and contractual frameworks. Notable publications address copyright in education, creative industry contracts, and corporate governance.
