معرفی
Achilleas Gravanis is a Visiting Professor in Pharmacology & Therapeutic Medicine at the School of Medicine, University of Crete. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University Pierre Marie Curie (Paris, France) and a Diploma in Pharmacy from the University of Athens. His research focuses on neurotrophins, neurogenesis, neurodegenerative diseases, and drug development. He has published in high-impact journals such as Neuropharmacology and PLoS One.
Gravanis previously served as Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Crete (2001–2008) and directed the Laboratory of Clinical Pharmacology at the University Hospital of Heraklion. He has collaborated with institutions like FORTH (IESL-Foundation of Research & Technology-Hellas). His work spans neurotrophin receptor interactions, neuroprotective drugs, and neuroimaging techniques for myelin assessment.
No scientific awards are listed, but his contributions include studies on neurotrophin effects in ALS models and Fingolimod’s role in neurogenesis. His research integrates pharmacology with biomedical engineering, as seen in studies on cell-surface interactions and neuroimaging technologies.
