Abu S. Amin

Dr. Abu S. Amin is the Chair and Associate Professor of Finance at the Department of Finance and Law, Central Michigan University's College of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Houston, an M.Sc. in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham (UK), and an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka. His research focuses on corporate governance, sustainability, climate finance, and board dynamics. He has published extensively in journals like Journal of Corporate Finance and Journal of Banking and Finance, with recent work addressing carbon emissions, CEO compensation, and financial risk in banks. Dr. Amin has received multiple awards for research and teaching, including the Provost’s Award and AT&T Teaching Award. He teaches courses such as Managerial Finance and Financial Risk Analysis and serves on editorial boards, including the Journal of Sustainable Finance and Accounting.
