Abolfazl Lavaei is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing, Newcastle University, United Kingdom, specializing in safety-critical AI for cyber-physical systems.

Current work emphasizes data-driven techniques for enhancing system reliability in complex stochastic environments.
Recipient of multiple international awards. During July-September 2024, he conducts sabbatical research at KTH Royal Institute of Technology with Professor Henrik Sandberg's group to advance cyber-physical system security.
