Abobakr Sultan

Dr. Abobakr Sultan is a researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With a PhD in Communication Engineering from the University of Leeds (UK), he has held roles in academia, research, and international development consultancy.

His research focuses on ICT, communication engineering, and knowledge economy, with over 150 publications in Arabic and English. He contributed to translating IEEE literature and authored books on knowledge management.

Notable achievements include a best scientific paper award from the IEE and a certificate of appreciation from Saudi Arabia's late foreign minister for advancing ICT adoption in MOFA. He also co-holds a US patent (#USP 8.478.529) with Prof. A. Al Ruwais.
