André Xuereb

André Xuereb is a Professor of Physics at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Science and serves as Malta’s Ambassador for Digital Affairs within the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs. He leads the quantum research group Quantumalta and co-owns an educational software start-up, while also acting as Chief Scientific Officer for a sustainable mobility start-up.

• Currently pursuing an MA in Diplomacy

Research Focus: Quantum computing, theoretical physics, and interdisciplinary applications of science in diplomacy and technology. His work emphasizes advancing quantum research through initiatives like Quantumalta and exploring sustainable mobility solutions.

Professional Activities: Engaged in science diplomacy events such as 'Policy Meets Tech: Quantum computing' (Geneva, 2024) and debates on UN reform (2022). Active in bridging academic, entrepreneurial, and governmental roles to shape digital policy.
