Dr. Abigail Fiske is a Lecturer in Neuroscience at Lancaster University, affiliated with the Neuroscience and Neurocognition department within Fylde College. Her research focuses on developmental cognitive neuroscience, particularly early executive function development in infants and toddlers. She employs functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to study neural correlates of cognitive processes and has contributed to understanding the predictive associations of executive function with academic outcomes.
Key research interests include self-regulation in early childhood, maternal depressive symptoms' effects on child development, and methodological advancements in neuroimaging.
