Abhinav Gupta

Abhinav Gupta is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School. He holds a PhD in Finance from NYU Stern, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad (Institute Gold Medal), and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur (President’s Silver Medal). His research explores empirical corporate finance, with a focus on entrepreneurial finance, private equity, and their intersections with labor economics and healthcare. He previously worked in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group.

His research interests span labor economics, healthcare economics, and international trade.
