Abdullah Gül

Mr. Abdullah Gül, born in 1950, pursued an academic career as a Lecturer at ITU Sakarya Engineering Faculty (now Sakarya University), where he contributed to establishing the Department of Industrial Engineering and taught Management courses. He holds a PhD in Economics from Istanbul University (1983) and has been recognized with honorary degrees for his contributions to higher education and international relations.

His research and academic work focused on Economics and Management, with a strong emphasis on Industrial Engineering applications. Gül transitioned to politics, serving as the 11th President of Turkey (2007–2014), Prime Minister (2002–2003), and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (2003–2007). He was elected to Parliament for Kayseri multiple times (1991–2007).
