Dr. Abdulazim IBRAHIM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Karabük University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He has served as a full-time faculty member since 2018 and currently holds the position of Department Deputy Head (2021-present). Previously, he taught at Karabük University's Faculty of Theology, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences from 2014-2018.
His research focuses primarily on Constitutional Law, Public Law, and Human Rights Law with special expertise in comparative constitutional analysis across multiple jurisdictions including Turkey, the United States, Germany, and Middle Eastern nations. His scholarly work examines constitutional amendments, unamendable provisions, constitutional court decisions, presidential systems, and the historical development of constitutional principles from Ottoman legal traditions to contemporary frameworks.
Dr. Ibrahim has published extensively with 41 total publications including 14 journal articles, 20 conference papers, 5 books, and 2 book chapters. His recent scholarship (2024-2025) shows a strong focus on contemporary constitutional challenges including digital rights, parliamentary oversight in presidential systems, and the binding force of constitutional court decisions. Dr. Ibrahim actively supervises 18 master's students working on diverse thesis topics related to constitutional law, public administration, and human rights. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Human Rights Development, Theoretical Foundations of Human Rights Law, Middle Eastern Government Systems, Rule of Law, and Protection of Human Rights in International Law. He has also served as Principal Investigator for research projects examining local government service quality and forest protection laws.
