Abdon Moutinho Math

Abdon Moutinho Math is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2023, mentored by Dr. Gong Chen. His research focuses on the qualitative study of solutions to nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations (PDEs), particularly on dynamics of solitons and multi-solitons for nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) and nonlinear wave (NLW) models, as well as long-time behavior and asymptotic stability of dispersive PDE solutions.

He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Laboratoire Analyse, Géométrie et Applications (LAGA) at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord on July 26, 2023, under the supervision of Thomas Duyckaerts and Jacek Jendrej. His thesis, titled Dynamiques des multisolitons pour certains champs scalaires, explores multi-soliton dynamics in scalar field models.
