Abdessamad Bouabid

Dr. Abdessamad Bouabid is an Assistant Professor of Criminology at the Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University of Rotterdam. His research focuses on the criminology of the Other, exploring how marginalized groups are criminalized through processes of othering, structural racism, ethnic profiling, and mass stigmatization. He employs qualitative methods, including ethnography, discourse analysis, and participant observation, to study youth crime and criminalization in multicultural urban contexts.
