Frank Weerman

Prof. Frank Weerman is an Endowed Professor of Youth Criminology at the Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Senior Researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR). His research focuses on juvenile delinquency, peer networks, terrorism, cybercrime, and the impact of social media on youth behavior. Weerman holds a PhD in Criminology from the University of Groningen (1998) and has held academic positions at institutions like the University of Twente and NSCR. He has contributed to policy debates on youth justice, community sanctions, and radicalization prevention.
