Abdelilah SLAOUI

Abdelilah SLAOUI is a CNRS Research Director and Deputy Scientific Director for Energy at CNRS-INSIS, Paris. He is affiliated with the University of Strasbourg and ICube Laboratory, leading the MATISEN team focused on materials for photovoltaics, sensors, and energy conversion.

His research interests include silicon-based materials for high-efficiency photovoltaics, transparent conductive oxides, semiconductor nanomaterials for third-generation solar cells and non-volatile memories, and multifunctional oxides. He has supervised over 20 PhD theses and contributed to international projects like EUROSUNMED FP7, POLYSIMODE FP7, and BIFASOL.

Scientific awards include the ADRERUS Association Prize (1984). He has organized major conferences, including Sino-European workshops and the European Materials Research Society symposiums. Teaching activities span courses on semiconductor physics, photovoltaic materials, and energy engineering at University of Strasbourg, University of Warsaw, and other institutions.
