Abby L Crowley

Abby L Crowley is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Capital Management at the New York University School of Professional Studies. She also contributes to the Center for Leadership and Organizational Change at the University of Maryland College Park as an instructor, facilitator, and certified CliftonStrengths coach.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Boston University and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Education Administration from the Catholic University of America.

Dr. Crowley’s research and professional interests center on adult learning, universal design for learning, strengths-based professional development, and curriculum design, particularly in online environments. With over four decades of experience in education, she has served as a teacher, principal, leadership coach, curriculum developer, and school board member.

Her work reflects a deep commitment to inclusive and effective educational practices in both K–12 and higher education settings.

She served in the US Peace Corps Response program in the Philippines from 2018 to 2019, contributing her expertise in leadership and organizational development.

Dr. Crowley advises on leadership development and learning design. Her professional engagement spans academic instruction, coaching, and organizational consulting, particularly through strengths-based frameworks.

She is actively involved with the Center for Leadership and Organizational Change at the University of Maryland, where she facilitates leadership programs and offers coaching grounded in CliftonStrengths methodology.
