Dr. Abbie Rogers is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the UWA Centre for Environmental Economics and Policy (CEEP) at the University of Western Australia's School of Agriculture and Environment. She holds a Premier's Mid-Career Fellowship and leads research on coastal resilience through the Resilient Ways program.
Her research focuses on non-market valuation techniques for environmental conservation, integrated economic assessments for policy, and coastal hazard management. Key interests include quantifying intangible values of marine environments and improving decision-support tools for sustainable resource management.
Recent research trends show: Integration of economic tools in coastal adaptation planning, development of nature-based solutions for biodiversity frameworks, and socioeconomic benchmarking for marine parks across Australia.
