Abbey Toot is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Brevard College, specializing in acting, voice, and movement training. She teaches courses in Shakespearean performance, physical storytelling, and camera work while directing theatrical productions. Her pedagogical practice integrates breathwork and somatic techniques to explore connections between mental knowledge and bodily instinct, with a focus on the Miller Voice Method and Fitzmaurice Voicework.

Abbey's research investigates how breath influences vocal production, physicality, and interpersonal dynamics in performance.
