Abbas Dashtimanesh

Abbas Dashtimanesh is an Assistant Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology's Naval Architecture Center within the School of Engineering Sciences. He specializes in ship hydromechanics, green ship design, and digitalization strategies for decarbonization. His research focuses on applying digital twins, generative AI, and CFD to optimize hull forms and reduce emissions. He co-leads the SHIFT-DT project, developing sustainable ship design frameworks using digital twins, and contributes to the DeWaTra initiative addressing hydrodynamic hull design for energy efficiency. He teaches courses like Marine Hydromechanics and Advanced Topics in Naval Architecture, advising master's and PhD students.
