Aazam Feiz

Aazam Feiz serves as a Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), teaching comprehensive Persian language and literature courses from elementary to advanced levels including specialized offerings in cinema, media, and translation.

She earned her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Florida where her dissertation received the Distinguished Threadgill Award, complemented by a certificate in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT).

Her research centers on Persian language structures, psycholinguistics, and second language acquisition methodologies, currently manifested in developing a Persian language textbook to advance pedagogical frameworks. This work integrates theoretical linguistics with practical classroom applications.

Dr. Feiz's publication record demonstrates experimental rigor in Persian syntax, particularly examining subject-verb agreement phenomena through cognitive processing lenses.
