Aatmesh Shrivastava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University, part of the College of Engineering. His research focuses on ultra-low power circuits and systems, analog computing, precision circuits, and hardware security, with a particular emphasis on enabling energy-efficient IoT devices and biomedical applications. He leads the Energy Efficient Circuits and Systems Group, which develops self-powered systems for IoT deployments, exascale computing architectures, and high-reliability circuit designs.
Shrivastava holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia (2014) and a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, India (2006). His honors include the 2025 DARPA Director’s Fellowship Award, 2024 Faculty Fellow Award, and 2022 NSF CAREER Award. He has co-authored over 12 journal papers and 10 conference papers, with notable contributions to RF rectifiers for neural implants, RSSI-based security systems, and EEG feature extraction circuits.
His current projects include NSF-funded initiatives on analog computing for edge devices, energy-harvesting systems, and hardware security. He advises students such as Ankit Mittal (PhD’24) and Nikita Mirchandani (PhD’22), and has secured patents for innovations like power obfuscation converters and ultra-low power beamforming systems. His work bridges theoretical circuit design with practical applications in healthcare, IoT, and high-performance computing.
