Aaron Wong serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Director-Scientific of the Klein Family Parkinson’s Rehabilitation Center at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute in Elkins Park, PA.
His research investigates motor system control mechanisms in health and neurological disorders through behavioral, computational, and neuropsychological approaches. Key focus areas include cognitive-motor interactions in skilled behavior, movement planning processes, imitation/tool-use deficits in post-stroke apraxia, and motivation-effort dynamics in Parkinson's disease rehabilitation.
Dr. Wong leads an active research laboratory at Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute examining sensory contributions to movement state estimation, navigation impairments post-stroke, and perception of effort during motor tasks as documented on his dedicated research laboratory site.
